Female characters?

Random Heroes 1 offered female characters for gameplay, which I thought was pretty awesome. RH2, however, does not. Oh, wait, theres one... Princess. Really, Ravenous?

RH2 offers some great improvements over the original, but it gets one star from me for refusing to acknowledge that girls might play games too and might like a character that reflects that other than a princess.
